On Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at approximately 8:55 p.m., officers responded to Macy’s Department Store, St. Clair Square, to investigate a grab-and-run theft, involving four female suspects.

Upon arrival, officers learned that four females entered the north doors to Macy’s, and each grabbed a large amount of clothing and began to walk toward the door they had entered.  Two loss prevention officers were observing the females and attempted to stop them as they exited the store.  Three of the suspects made it outside while the fourth turned and sprayed mace into the faces of the loss prevention officers.  One of the LPs was able to grab some of the clothing; however, all four suspects were able to enter an awaiting vehicle and flee the area.  Both LPs declined medical treatment, and other than the effects of mace was not injured.

Macy’s video surveillance showed the vehicle, a silver, Chevrolet Malibu pull up to the north doors and let out one of the suspects, who walked just inside the Macy’s doors.  She immediately turns around and motions to the occupants of the vehicle, who subsequently parked the car and got out.  Then the four suspects walked inside to commit their thefts.  While the suspects are inside Macy’s, the vehicle remained on the parking lot with its engine running; it is unknown if a fifth person remained in the car.  The suspects are described as:

Suspect one:     black female, thin build wearing dark pants, pink hoodie, with shoulder-length hair.

Suspect two:      black female, wearing black Adidas joggers with white stripes down the side, dark-colored zip-up jacket, bright colored shirt, and white tennis shoes, this female looks to be average build, wearing her hair up.
